Currently own one '03 Grand Cherokee with the 4.7, An '08 SRT4 2.4 Turbo, and we recently picked up an '07 Cherokee SRT8--off this forum actually been an awesome vehicle so far, very easy and pleasant transaction with the seller, and sub sequentially took the jeep on a cross country trip consisting of ~4000 miles all together. Prior to our I too have a '98 Limited JGC. This thing was a hoot to drive back then and still is, despite NOT being the "fastest SUV" anymore, thanks to the SRT. The seems more practical than the SRT, particularly since the JGC didn't loose tow ability and it could still go off-road. BUT trust me, the SRT's performance more than makes up for the short fall. Oddly enough, I paid $ for my not far off the mark of the $ not going to find one this price) SRT, and it has 170 more hp and better equippment than the Thanks DC for not pricing this thing at about the cost of some peoples loved my SRT every since I've turned the key over to fire it up. Also love seeing the faces of disbelief of owners of Porsche's, Vette's, Mustangs, WHATEVER it may for the ride quality, it's nowhere near as punishing as the FX45 w/20's ,the Porsche Cayenne w/20's, the BMW X5 w/20's, ot the Range Rover Sport w/20's. This is because the JGC starts off with an already supple suspensiona and chassis. Then they firm it up and install 20's whereas the competition's suspensions start life as Euro-firm and then they're firmed even more to the point of teeth rattling. So I currently have a 2006 Grand Cherokee Overland with a 5.7L HEMI. I have a few mods such as a Volant intake, Diablo Intune, etc. As soon as it warms up I'll also install my Superlift 4" lift and 295/70/17 tires, skids, etc. I know this is an SRT8/street truck forum and figured this is the best place for good engine tech. Hi Bob, I want to order a 22 GC Summit Reserve…they tell me the limited slip differential is not available because of the chip shortage. Your thoughts on if this is a necessary feature for driving in winter conditions. Also the air suspension system is not available because of the chip shortage. Maybe I should wait until ’23 to see if this chip shortage goes away. I have A 2014 Summit. Thanks. ShysJeep wrote on MrBreeze's profile. Hey man, do you still have the wheels for sale? No wonder they got flexible. I think they're going to have a hard time selling a base SRT8. Without the $3,100 SRT Option Group I package, there are a number of convenience items missing from a $40,000 vehicle. Such as:Sunroof, Air Conditioning ATC with Dual Zone Control,Driver's Automatic-Dimming Exterior MirrorBright Pedals, Deluxe Door Trim Panel, Heated Front SeatsParkSense(TM) Rear Park Assist System, Power Adjustable Pedals with Memory, Power Sunroof, Power Front Seats with Driver Seat Memory, Power Heated Fold-Away Mirrors with Memory, Memory for Radio, Driver Seat and MirrorsRain-Sensitive Windshield Wipers, Front and Rear Side-Curtain Air Bags**, SIRIUS Satellite Digital Radio w/one year free service, SmartBeam(TM) Headlamps, Supplemental Side Air Bags**, UConnect(TM) Hands-Free Communication,If that vehicle is really a base unit, I think that they're going to have trouble moving it. Hi there. Check the video, this one for example. The exercise is not too hard - remove couple of screws, pull the door panel off, on the back of it - several remove screws which hold the trim. Takes 10 minutes per door. Thanks! That’s a little more work that I’m willing to do, so I just glued down the carbon in place.
Alas...the Hemi gods have not yet deemed me worthy...I got a message today from my dealer (AFTER I sent him a message asking about it!) that NOW they think it'll be ready FRIDAY!SIGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!It appears that there was some alignment problem with the sunroof that they noticed, there was a bent part or something, so they ordered another part, and he thinks it'll be ready for pickup on friday now. I just can't believe this whole for the tips, some good info there - now I just hope I can remember it all on FRIDAY...HOPEFULLY FRIDAY!!!!! and mine is black also - but ours will be out in the parking lot, since they'll have OTHER srt8's on the track for us to trash - ahem, I mean drive... maybe I'll just walk around saying "anyone here post on Edmunds?" Boy, I can't believe this. I'm glad my wife already verified the vehicle is there. And I guess I'm glad they found this before I took it home - though I pray that the sunroof hasn't been leaking all this time......And don't worry, I do plan to honor the breakin period...since it's only 300 miles...though my philosophy is usually to break it in the way it's going to be driven!! But I'll wait this time, I am wondering about the attention factor, do people really notice that it's something different? I have yet to see one on the road myself, believe it or not!! I figured at least when I'm blowing away those kids in the mustang gt's that they'll notice...
